ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Mission 1 : R&D Project Management

• Develop new products in collaboration with the commercial and production teams.

• Optimize existing products in cooperation with the Quality Control team.

• Design solutions to address non-conformities in collaboration with Quality Control and Production.

• Draft research plans in coordination with the Site Director and operational units.

• Conduct experiments and testing.

• Adjust research direction as needed with input from the Site Director and relevant teams.

• Monitor the launch of new products during production and implementation phases.

• Write and maintain progress reports, data sheets, new formulations, etc.

• Manage R&D and Quality-related non-conformities and contribute to their resolution.

• Ensure ongoing scientific and technical monitoring.

Mission 2: Operational Supervision with the Quality Manager

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and procedures in the laboratory.

• Maintain the organization, health & safety, cleanliness, and proper storage of materials, products, and consumables in the lab.

• Oversee the proper functioning and scheduled verification of laboratory and production tools by external providers (e.g. compression testing machine).

Mission 3: Team Coordination with the Quality Manager

• Supervise and train lab assistants as needed.

If necessary, perform daily monitoring of production quality control (sampling, analysis, interpretation, and result tracking).

• If necessary, oversee the control and follow-up of encoding and verification documents.

PROFILE

• Higher education degree in chemistry or a related scientific field (master’s or equivalent).

• Proven experience in R&D project management and team leadership.

• Experience in a multi-site and/or international environment is a strong asset.

• Strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, scientific rigor, and critical mindset.

• Demonstrated leadership, ability to unite and develop teams in a collaborative environment.

• Fluency in at least two of the following languages:

• French and German (ideal),

• German and English (with knowledge of French would be even better).

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).

• Willingness to travel regularly between mainly between Belgium (Liège area) & Germany (Berlin area).

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Belgian or German employment contract

• Full-time position

• Work schedule in line with the local work legislation

• Salary package based on experience
